I have a seven year old computer Dell (specifications: Intel Celeron (R) CPU 2.40 Ghz, 149 Gb hard disk, 512 Mb RAM).

I’m trying to get one more year or two before replacing it, so I’m in the process of reconstruction, after picking up a virus.

This is actually a really good idea. Most businesses will buy all of the computers just because. The answer is simple, get a program called Norton Ghost. You can make an exact copy of the partition of DVD-R, in which you can make bootable. Then when you want to restore, just load DVD and your computer is exactly the same way you had it.

This is the only country with Windows Vista and Windows 7, the first boot of copied, creates a need for another program to do so. But since you are using Windows XP, you will not be this problem.

If you are wondering. Typical reinstall method spirit, good writing DVD is about 15 minutes, start to finish.
