NVIDIA has announced a new more affordable model of 3D active shutter glasses for vision, which will be wired as opposed to currently available wireless infrared version of glasses and wireless RF PRO version of 3D vision. New 3D vision cable glasses will cost $ 99 USD and is expected to be available at the end of June, so start searching for them still, if you are tempted by lower price. In this new model Nvidia ditched the battery and wireless communication now connect directly to your computer USB port, which means that there should be no more problem with synchronization or intervene if used more pairs of glasses in one room. You also may forget to recharge the battery or for obtaining the battery dead after about a year or two of use or in fact, I must call it extensive abuse …

Of course these lenses are not to replace the wireless models, they simply will not go along with them for people who do not mind the glasses which are cable for PC, seeking more affordable solution (3D vision Kit from wireless IR now costs $ 149 USD since the last adjustment of the price of $ 199 USD). Wired 3D vision glasses seem to be a great decision for the working environment, where you have multiple systems, 3D vision, or LAN parties for example, it’s not that I can also use them at home, but with the new wave of 3D laptops and 3-d monitors with integrated IR emitters for personal use, you may simply want to get an additional infrared wireless pair of glasses only for$ 99 USD.

The new cable 3D vision active shutter glasses used same flaps and are compatible with the same hardware as the wireless glasses (there seem to be just some design improvements implemented in the framework of) and I guess that there must be no problems using both at the same time on one system (this has to be confirmed). Of course there is an updated driver for the official to add support for wired 3D glasses, so we should be getting, probably in the next driver WHQL sometime in June. The new wired 3D glasses will come with a 10 foot long USB cable (about 3 metres), which must be sufficient to cover the need for most people, using 3D monitor, although the length of the cable may be a bit of a problem for people using 3D DLP projector settings, so that such wireless glasses can better and more flexible choice. And I hope to soon to try a pair of new wired 3D vision shutter glasses and report back, although I’m expecting no surprises here, especially taking into account the LC lids and electronics, it management must be carried out to a large extent the same as the wireless version.
