Check out this *secret* site where it’ll show you a cool trick that actually TRIPLES your PC’s performance… Plus tons more!

The Ultimate CPU Overclocking Guide!
This is a video request from a few of my subscribers. Showing my bios settings for my 4.0GHz overclock. CPU-Z hwbot.org With Intel Core i7 920 Additional Info To Keep In Mind Remember if you jump from like 130 clock to a 190 clock its going to fail… and give you the f1 warning. Do it increments, like 130 to 160, 160 to 170 to 175 and so on. If it still wont boot most likly your cpu voltage is too low. Be patient. Also always check for stability in your os aswell. I reccomend 10 hours of a mixed torture test on prime 95.

I’ve been checking out OC videos/tutorials all day and this is a great posting – very clear and matter of fact. Thanks for going to the effort while not being in the best of health.

Thanks for this – I’m sick off BSOD everytime I try to hit 4GHz. This has got me 100% stable with temps peaking at 71 degrees with my Corsair H50 – I have a D0 tho so might start to bring down the voltage and hopefully temps too!
    Nice vid – Cheers!!

i got cmos what should i do 0,6 or 0,7? please reply grpace

  6. grpace says:

@mfastx Well at 3.8 on most d0′s can do it at 1.25 but all chips can be completely random. I would say start at 1.20v and slow move it up untill its completely stable.

Auto above 3.2ish is not recommended.

  7. mfastx says:

if i overclock to 3.8 GHz with an i7 D0 (newer) precessor, could I have my voltage at 1.25, or should I go to 1.3? If I left it on auto, would that be okay?

  8. TheXxxLoganxxX says:

i can run 4GHz for 1hour but then it crashed

  9. grpace says:

@TheXxxLoganxxX Yeah it takes awhile but once you get it stable its quite satisfying.

  10. TheXxxLoganxxX says:

frist time i had 4GHz i was like : ) but it was unstable so now : ( but i am working on it : )

  11. TylertheGeek28 says:

good video, hope u get better Greg

  12. grpace says:

We are in an agreement. My goal on this chip was 4GHz and imo its more power than I will need for a long time.

    Thanks for the comments

  13. grpace says:

Haha don’t worry about it i remember getting request in the past and just sending pms with settings.

  14. grpace says:

Well you do get a extra 0.54Ghz from the start so if were speaking in terms of those, you have a 1.4ghz overclock on water and I have a 1.34ghz overclock on air. Seems fair to me?

  15. grpace says:

Glad someone picked up on that.

  16. grpace says:

Yes. I failed to mention its a 920.

  17. Bob8673 says:

    You mean x21 on i7 920

  18. ChronoDetector says:

Good overclock, I consider 4Ghz or over a huge overclock.

  19. Mindhunt44 says:

    Loool @ 1.337

  20. CPUMaster500 says:

I have my i7 running @4.6GHz. Stock speed was 3.2GHz, and my first overclocking attempt resulted @ 4GHz. After I got a better liquid cooling system I decided to go a bit higher. At one point I had it at nearly 5GHz, but the system became very unstable, it would crash and lock up a lot. That’s when I dropped back down to 4.6GHz. It’s been fine since then.

I achieved the higher overclock, but keep in mind I’m not rubbing it in your face. That’s just why they call me CPUMaster. Good job though 5*

Looks like i was the guy who made both request, sry LOL but thanx for uploading man, i really appreciate it.

  22. marland66 says:

    Nice OC! 5/5

  23. grpace says:

Haha, I just hate looking at cpuz and seeing the low speeds unless im loadin.
