Cheap GPUS are making passwords useless

I think your password of eight characters, consisting of lowercase characters, uppercase letters and spraying of numbers is sufficiently strong to protect you from attack with brute force?

Think again!

Jon Honeyball, writing for PC Pro has a sobering piece of How modern GPUS can be regarded as a powerful tool against passwords, once considered safe from bruteforce attack.
