Even stock I7 920@2.66 and single stock GTX 480 is absolutely enough to play 1920×1200@max settings (45-70 fps). So this setup is nice, but will make no substantial difference in Crysis 2.

wnat to see the the FPS…download fraps and allow it to run in youtube or just allow fraps to run everyhere…u will get an idea about the frames
@PkerWhomerang I wish Killzone 3 would come to PC, then we can do some real comparison after they port it for PC only, but obviously having this PC hardware compared to the PS3 rubbish hardware the comparison would make no sense at all lol.

Yes the game looks amazing when its maxed out. But a huge surprise is coming soon, it’s called Direct3D 11, you’ll be able to push the level details to "very high" and it will enable Tessellation Factors {6-15} + much better lighting + more complex shaders. The difference between DX9 "high" (hardcore) and Direct3D 11 "very high" (insane) is real, but you’ll have to wait until 03/22

I know where you problem come from. Open system.cfg and remove everything and copy/past exactly these lines :

Right now you’ll be able to play "hardcore mode" without freeze
@cobrastomas thx for the reply. I read that hardcore setting dont turn everything to max its capped at medium, if you got the display info then there should be lines saying what setting you got for the different things like shadows and stuff. I saw a guy post a pic of it saying all medium and the render high while he set the options to hardcore. I dont think dx11 gonna make any difference in graphic but it should minimalise the resorces needed by the GPU.

@Di3BySw0rd only works 1 GPU, I tested SLI on and off and its the same frames, thx 4 ur coment, i dont used r_displayinfo 1 thing because makes it a bit ugly, but if u want to know the fps was around 40 when recording, and i dont know if this is medium, but i can put nothing higher than hardcore, we must wait retail dx11 version

no fps showing so we got no idea how smooth it goes. The res is good but we dont know if you have AA and AF on or off. Just because it shows hardcore setting dosnt mean much as its a fact now that it caps at medium setting only the render gets set to high in hardcore mode.
So you played crysis 2 in medium setting with the streamlining feature from warhead in high res with a SLI OC 480 cool but did those 2 GPU got used or does only one of them work.

how did you get your beta to work so well, mine has missing texture everywhere and refuses to play in hardcore mode, even though hardcore mode is the recommended setting
