Recently I tried the ESET Smart Installer, the protection of one of my relatives system. It already has a free Avira and Kaspersky Internet security. So I disabled both applications and tried installing ESS. No matter how many times I tried I couldn’t install it. The installation is completed early, showing something like “the return of the changes made in your system”.

I did everything I could including uninstalling other antivirus applications. Nothing helps. Quick search of Google reveals the cause of the problem. Samsung PC Studio is indeed a conflict with the installation. Why I have no idea, but after uninstalling PC Studio, I was able to install ESET Smart Security.

So if you’re facing installation problem with ESET Smart Security, see whether you have a Samsung PC Studio installed on your system. While the installation can also be interrupted by the network to third parties, filter drivers, like other firewalls, none of us will be suspected of Samsung PC Suudio to be the culprit.
