@TheNewbpowner123 I’m sure you can go up to 1ghz core, but I’ve no idea if it is going to run stable and with a reasonable temp.
What about 1ghzhz core, 1900mhz shader, 2100mhz mem. Sli enabled in a haf x stock cooling all fans @ 100%?? Ambient room temp is 17c…
@lejonetnord wow you managed to get 990MHz from 1025core volt. very nice. At stock voltage Unigine Benchmark crashed just before the end when i tried to get 950MHz from it. The settings in your video work bang on though
so ill stick with them for a while.
Just used exact same overclock settings, worked great. Use Unigine to benchmark (everything maxed) and i got about 1-2 FPS higher than core GPU settings.
Mine is perfectly stable with 968 MHz Core clock, 1936 MHz shader clock, 2100 MHz Memory clock, at stock voltage (987 mV).
Looks good ?
hey im looking at a few differant GTX crads and i came across the gigabyte 560 ti overclocked and the msi geforce gtx 570oc twin frozr III power edition and im just wondering which one would be the best for money! i me theres a good 70 pounds differance! any help would be amasing! and if youve got an even better card in mind i mean i would be gratefull for any input or new cards
just wana build a power rig! thanks nice post!
@lejonetnord Right, thanks. Can I send you a message about the rig I’ve built and judge if it can handle most games at high-max settings?
@fishNguitars
- Overclocked CPU and graphic card makes them go faster= better performance in games yes.
- If you have a good cooling system you don’t have to change it back to default, but if you haven’t got a nice cooling system to start with you should not overclock a lot.
- Most components nowadays have built in protection against "bad overclocks" and will shut down before getting fried but you should NOT raise your settings by a lot. Google the components you’re buying
I need some questions answered before getting my first gaming PC and most importantly, overclocking my system.
-When should I know when to overclock my system? If I want my game to perform better?
-When overclocked, should I reset the settings back to default when I’m not playing games?
-What will happen if you max all your settings? Will your PC catch on fire? Will your components get fried? Or will you just get the blue screen of death and have to reboot your system?
@lejonetnord I been using it for an hour and a bit now, testing it with Witcher 2. It black screened for a sec about 5mins into the game and I lost all audio (something to do with the nvidia HD audio thingy?) but yeah dis/re-enable the sound drivers and its been running stable for the past hour. Thanks dude!

@lejonetnord yep same one
Been using it to run Witcher 2, it did black screen for a second about 5mins into it and for some weird reason I lost all audio, dis/re-enable sound driver and its been very stable in the past hour. Thanks dude!
@XiS256 Yes it’s safe settings if you got the factory overclocked version (gtx 560 ti OC)
is this a safe/stable OC? coz im gona copy the exact same settings for my Gigabyte card.
@TazRocksDaParty – Corsair hx650w
- stock
- 3x120mm fan, 1x140mm fan, 1x200mm fan
@VincentVega44 First, make sure you have a nice airflow to make the hot air from GPU go out of your case. I haven’t got twinfrozr and therefore you can’t compare your temperatures to this video.
If you turn up the fan speed, your FAN on the GPU will probably have a shorter lifetime, but on the other side I’ve never really seen a GPU fan stop working.
If the GPU itself gets to hot it’ll get a shorter lifetime but it’s hard to say. 70-80 isn’t really extreme temperatures. As long as it isnt 80+
my twin frozr OC edition heats up to the high 70s when I play games such as starcraft ii on "ultra" (highest) graphics settings. I built my computer myself (my first build), this is my motherboard: MB MSI|P67A-GD65 (B3) P67 LGA1155 R.
I feel like my awesome GPU should be able to handle SC2. Are these temps bad? I used MSI Afterburner to adjust fan speeds so they reach 100% by the time it reaches 70ºC. Will this fan speed strain out my GPU over time, is it better to let it heat? Thx
hey what kind of power supply do you have? what kind of cooling do you have? Have you done any case mods?
@TazRocksDaParty
I’ve got an Intel i5 2500k underclocked to 2.5x in this video due to broken fan, overclocking it to 4.5ghz tomorrow.
Good quality 650W PSU, gigabyte 560 ti OC.
As long as you don’t change the voltage a lot, you should be just fine. I’ve seen 560 ti at a range of 1025-1100 mV. (using 1075 in this vid)
Hey what are your specs? I have a AMD Phenom II X4 830, MSI GTX 560 OC, 6GB of ram on a 500w power supply. GPU idle temps are around 37 degrees should I be able to run your reccomended overclock of 950. I’m just scared of changing the core voltage. Thanks.
@bellozzi Nice overclock man, like @lejonetnord said make sure you play few high graphic intensive games like Crysis/BattlefieldBadCo2 etc for an hour or so. Try some benchmarks like the Heaven/3D Vantage and if you get no white screens and/or artifacts while also watching your temps. Your good to go might even be able to push it further.
@bellozzi Running stable for hours in games? I’m buying a new side fan to cool the card even more, hoping to overclock it to 980mhz+
also buying a new cpu fan and overclocking i5 2500k to 4,5 ghz or so.
I’m lucky, I reached 1000Mhz/2000Mhz/2450Mhz with 1.050v
I’ve gigabyte gtx560ti oc (900Mhz/1800Mhz/2000Mhz)
@kehlohwah I just reset my settings to factory and tried battlefield bc 2, got white screen after like 10 minutes, going to try it with the overclocked settings for some hours now. I hope it solves the problems since it’s a beast card imo.
