@juniorgong1984 Well, the temps you are seeing are during a stress test using prime95. So the 72c temps you’re seeing are the temps of the cpu at 100% load. At idle the temps run around 45c, during game play the temps are around 55c.

@tqrules I’m pretty sure 72c during a prime95 test is alright. Never ever will a cpu have a 100% load unless you’re running a stress test. Just in case you’re wondering, my idle temps are around 45c after being on for about an hour.

  3. tqrules says:

@civixboi 72 c is to much as soon as you go higher then 70 c your chipp will burn out prety fast i got a core i5 750 clocked to the exact same frequency’s using also 20x on the multi. try to use a better watercooling system btw my voltages are even higher then yours to make it more stable

  4. juniorgong1984 says:

hmm that’s high degree, turn the vcore on 1.2000volt, and go from 4000 to 3700. Thats enough and the temps will be 54-56 degree

I think that if your friend had chosen the Corsair H50 that the temps would have been lower. I have a H50 and a Q6600 @ 3.0ghz, my lowest temp are 28C idle and 53C full load ( ambient temp 13C ) my current temps are idle 36C and full load 56C ( ambient 22C ).
When using the H50 you can change the direction of the airflow, from intaking cold air to exhausting hot air thru out the back, while the v8 needs airflow created by other fans to cool the cpu.

    Damn thats a sweet OC!

@civixboi my cpu is a i7 920 at 4.53 ghz, its cooled by watercooling and at max load it bearly pushes 45 degrees celcius – a recent build for my cousin used the i5 750 and it had a similar water cooling system though with less radiators ( i have 2 120×2 and one 120 in the coolermaster 690 ii, he only has one 120×2) and he gets 50 degrees celcius at max load when oc’ed to 4.1ghz!

i would love if you make a video on how you overclock it
    because i cant oc :(
really wanna learn how to do it :-|

  9. kaczynski123 says:

yea i like your rig and we both have the cm690 ii :) love that case

  10. civixboi says:

@kaczynski123 Thanks for the insight. I’m going to be posting a vid on my i7 overclock soon. And the temps are way different, that’s for sure.

  11. civixboi says:

@WestCoastMods If it were mine, yes it would be running 24/7. I’m not sure if my friend is going to run it 24/7

  12. kaczynski123 says:

its not the mobo that would change the temps its a i5 and i7 is a completely different chip set so its going to run dif. temps and it also matters what heatsink you have

  13. WestCoastMods says:

Nice vid, i thought the temps were pretty good with your OC. Do you run that 24/7? you may of mentioned it in the vid, but trying to multitask and may have missed it.

    Cheers

  14. civixboi says:

@addzkebabs What temps do you have? Is your cpu overclocked?

  15. marland66 says:

    Nice OC! GREAT temps too!

  16. lylix123 says:

if it is with the V8 cooler: how can it be at 4GHz? i got an i7 860 and my pc turns of at 4GHz :S

  17. addzkebabs says:

cool overclock, though the temps are a bit high for my liking – i prefer much lower temps!
