why does the ram limit the overclock on the i7?
what has the ram to do with the cpu?
I had to up my cpu vcore to 1.325v and raise the dim V as well with a overclock just to get my system stable. a good idea is the EDP setting @ disabled. i think thats the only thing i changed when i tried another way to adjust things from what you show. but I got mine @3.9 with over 1600 on my ram but my timings are not the same.
on an i7 the ram does limit the high clock of your cpu … higher the ram speed thus higher overclocks … and the cooling also plays a major role … if u have better cooling then the problem is not as noticeable as apposed to air cooling
dude your ram does not prevent your cpu from going to a hi overclock.
and the only way you fry a cpu or your system is to not adequately cool your system. extreme overclocking on all system components requires liquid cooling.
Nice video, very very helpful, i wish i could give you rep or something, but ill just like n fav.
