This video shows how to Overclock the Intel Core i7 950 Processor (Originally @ 3.07ghz) to 3.4ghz. Recommended To Test Stability: Everest(Stress Test): everest.en.softonic.com CPUID(Temps): www.cpuid.com CPU-Z(Speeds): www.cpuid.com So, if you want the short version: Core Speed = (BCLK Frequency * CPU Clock Ratio) CPU Clock Ratio: (set to) x24 Uncore Clock Speed: (set to) x18 BCLK Frequency : (set to) 142 System Memory Multiplyer: (set to) 6.0 –Make sure you know your Core Temperatures before AND after OCing to make sure your satisfied with any changed in temperature. (Intel i7s can handle up to 80-90*C, from what i hear) –I am NOT reliable for any damage done to your computer (if you follow my steps exactly, nothing should be harmed). –Motherboard : GIGABYTE X58A-UD3R (As long as its a 1366 pin Mobo and an i7, it should look similar, but may not be in the same places (aka: would not be in MIT for most other motherboards) so just keep looking around until you find where all these frequency settings are located.) –The i7 950 can OC to 4.2ghz safely, but only attempt if you are willing to increase Voltages slightly and are satisfied with Core Temperatures. –OCing to 3.4ghz does not require a voltage boost, but no harm will be done if you do (temps will increase, however) –3.07ghz to 3.4ghz is a moderate change, and you will notice an increase in performance. –If you configured it incorrectly – dont worry, it will just say "ERROR: Windows failed to boot because <b>…<b>
