    @WARFOX101 Well it totally depends on what one uses the PC for.If you game defnetly a DX11 GPU is worth getting but if you aren’t gaming a stronger GPU with DX10 would be the better choice(e.g. 3D Moddeling).

  2. IrishTopgun12 says:

    @WARFOX101 1.296 is the lowest I can go without instability.Thanks I’m using a Scythe Yasya.

  3. WARFOX101 says:

    @IrishTopgun12 Hold on this is where i disagree with ya bud. There is a big difference between DX10 and DX11. There is no way i would go back to my 4870 even if it was more powerful than my current 5970. i still wouldn’t just because its not a DX11 card.

  4. WARFOX101 says:

    not bad @ 1.29v Have you been ale to lower the volts any @ 4.0GHz? and not bad temps on air great job.

  5. copperkipper1 says:

    TESSELATION DX10 kills DX9 wtf….

  6. AkkeDaBest says:

    @DiarmaidSC D: some of my cables are too too short, I his them in an empty HDD cage /,,/_

  7. IrishTopgun12 says:

    @msigt740 sure if you have the cash you can get anything you wan’t :D
    I got myself the 6870.

  8. msigt740 says:

    @IrishTopgun12
    WTF if the games that you play have dx11, and you have the cash. then it is so worth the money, im going for a 6870 at the moment, still saving.

  9. IHunger4Battle1 says:

    DX10 is okay, until you start seeing the difference that tesselation makes…DX10 cards just don’t have the same architecture to compete visual-wise in the latest games and benchmarks.
    I’ve got a GTX 460 Hawk SLI setup and couldn’t be happier…paid about as much as a GTX 480 and can knock it’s socks off to boot (unless you SLI 480s…lol) as well as having half the heat issues.
    If you’ve got the cash…go with a DX11 card…it’s not all hype…trust me. I went from a 4850 to a 5850.

  10. MultiRomarios says:

    my pc intel core i7 860 4gb ddr3 gtx260 1gb nvidia runs mafia 2 on high 65fps

  11. IrishTopgun12 says:

    @Noojtxeeg Ok I get what you’re saying.Yeah upgrading to a 5850 from a 4870 is unnescesary.And one doesn’t eaven see a huge difference between DX10 and DX11 so upgrading for DX11 is really stupid.

  12. Noojtxeeg says:

    @IrishTopgun12 I understand where you’re coming from, but I’m a budget man fyi. I go to college full time and only work part time, so i don’t mind playing 50 fps on the games that I normally play. But also, I never said anything about the 6870. I already know that it’s not as fast as the 5870. lol. I was talking about the hype where people would spend hundreds to upgrade a 4870 to 5850 when they don’t even play dx11 games. Not everyone plays dx11 games. that’s all.

  13. Noojtxeeg says:

    @Irishgamer01

    Stupid statement eh? I had a 2.7ghz dual core with a 4850 and played most games max settings (MW2, L4D2, TF2, SC2) with 50-60 FPS.
    I gave that one to my siblings. Now I have a 3.6 quad core with a 5870 that caps out at 60 FPS.

    On a 1600×900 resolution and trust me, you can’t tell the difference between the occasional 10 FPS difference.

    If you have the extra money, go for it and by the high end DX11 cards when most games don’t even use DX11. It’s all marketing hype I tell ya.

  14. Irishgamer01 says:

    @NoojtxeegStupid statement, I guess you have one. 60+ FPS is where u should be aiming and thats not a 4850, at any reasonable resolution also DX11 is here. I have 2 4850 put away in a box if u want to buy them, no? Seriously check my chanel out on Youtube.

  15. DiarmaidSC says:

    @AkkeDaBest yeah my PSU has such short cables I can’t fit them behind my Motherboard tray.It really sucks :(

  16. AkkeDaBest says:

    Cable mess in sight!!!

  17. IrishTopgun12 says:

    @IrishTopgun12 just oredered it :D
    I’ll post a video update when i get it in 10 days :D you can subscribe if you want to see my 6870 :D

  18. IrishTopgun12 says:

    @Foristality yeah im about to order a ATI/AMD 6870for 270$ (200€). :D

  19. Foristality says:

    @IrishTopgun12 AMD 6850 or 6870 would be perfect for you. Im upgrading from xfx 9600 gso to 6850 because i got a 1920 x 1080 monitor and mafia 2 runs at like 9 fps on my xfx 9600 gso.

    amd 6850 is less than 200 $

  20. IrishTopgun12 says:

    @Noojtxeeg I am gaming at 1920×1080 so it is worth upgrading
    + my 4850 gets so hot its really annoying and I see a bit of lagg/bad framerates in games like GTA4 or other GPU intensive games(I know GTA4 is CPU intensive but the 4850 won’t cut it at my res).So I’m defnetly getting a new GPU ,probably GTX470/ATI 5870/ATI 6870/ATI 6850

  21. Noojtxeeg says:

    unless you’re playing crysis or gaming on 1900×1080+ resolution, you won’t really find use for upgrading your 4850. You might find that spending the extra money won’t give you too much of a boost in performance, sorry to say. But it’s really up to you.

  22. IrishTopgun12 says:

    @Honzo87 thanks ;)
    Got it to 4.2 GHz but i need 13.5 V and then it gets a little too hot.

  23. Honzo87 says:

    Nice rig. Nice OC.
