Is it the increased clock speeds or the increased temperature that wears out your cpu faster? If I overclocked my computer, but got a better heatsink so that the end temperature was still the same, would the OC wear it out faster?

  2. xxXViiRUSXxx1 says:

@sonya2100 nope if its like 70 degrees that would be worrying

  3. samirkosova1 says:

i run with 4.60 ghz its nice

  4. sonya2100 says:

sooo….ef your CPU is overclocked and the temperatures are betwen 30-40-50 grades it won’t break?

what is the name of that application used to monitor the system in the right side of the screen?

  7. micboobadan says:

I think he is using a 32 bit OS, am I seeing that, why? If he has a intel core I-3 he should have at least four gigs of ram… why not 64 bit then?

im going to install Window 7 a vista for a 64 bit..

wat i wanna knowis how much mem that can fit on the board at once..???

@bryansouza Just have patients because the i3 is best bang for buck IMO. I owned a i7 920 and I didn’t like the heat that came out of it.

  12. bryansouza says:

How did you OC to 4.4, i have a i3-540, i tried OC too 3,23 GHz, but it rebooted, i’m using the Intel’s Stock Cooler, can i at least OC to 3,6 GHz ? Wish i’d bought the i7-920, this one suck’s, giving me so much headaches…

lamest thing a dual core at the price of a amd quad yeah nice buy mate way to be a intel fan boy and not see the price:))

  14. Fortune2point0 says:

@MediaMocker There is sometimes a dead space in bclck between around 200, try pushing it to like 210 with a lower multi and you should be able to push it past that hole.

  15. onix913 says:

@MediaMocker I’m using a ASRock H55M-LE it’s extremely easy to reach this OC on this board. They sold out on newegg I’m waiting for them to get more so I can buy another.

  16. MediaMocker says:

@onix913 what mb u running? and yeah even linpack stressing the one i did never went over 60c on a 90mm cooler

  17. MediaMocker says:

this motherboard bclock go any higher (at lower cpu multi)? i built one of these for a friend on a lanparty t3eh9 wouldnt even boot over 195 bclock, it was a bclock limitation even at lower cpu multiplier… still done 4.3ghz on 1.35v tho (from memory)

another question, did you manage to get your ram any higher than the 1333mhz limit? supposedly its the luck of the draw with the cpu mem controller.

  18. onix913 says:

Who ever is thinking about buying this chip don’t think any further go get it. I have the same chip overclocked to 4.4GHz as well with a corsair H50 liquid cooler with 4GB of ADATA ddr3 2000 and a 60GB ssd this system is blazing fast. To top it all of it’s a 32nm cpu so it will run extra cool mine stays @ 30c and never breaks more then mid to high 30′s. Damn good post here ( Thumbs up )

    @JTK21351 nice, me too at 4,4GHz qpi 8800Mhz 200×22, 1,32v, and at 4,7GHz 1,46v =)

  24. snth3 says:

do you repleace to cpu cooling fan before over-clocking the cpu?

  25. x73110 says:

    Hey man, nice overclocking.

Can you please upload your overclocking reference table, like voltage, qpi, multiplier, mem, FSB???

Also what is your full load temp with this frequency?? Thanks in advance
