Welcome guys :) This is my preliminary overclock, i will stress longer when i get the chance to tweak a little bit more for performance, its only 10 pass Linx. My spec: Core i3 550 @ 4.4Ghz 1.35v load, 1.368 idle CPUZ Validation : valid.canardpc.com J&W P55T EXTREME (too bad i cant even modify QPI, Uncore and RAM.. its locked :( ) 2x4GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 rated 1600 9-9-9-24-1T 1.5v (current settings will run 1470 8-8-8-22-1T also with 1.5v) Couple of SATA2 HDD Some optical drive ATI HD6790 1GB (9701170) Corsair H520w Modular Cooler Master CM690 Corsair Hydro H60 CPU Cooling When i tried at 4.2 – 4.3Ghz, temps were awsome, under 60c, but once i set to 4.4Ghz, it clims significantly to around 70c :) , and oh.. 4.2 i need 1.28v, 4.3 needs 1.32v What i set in bios: Disable C1E and speedstep Base Clock : 184 CPU Clock Multiplier : 24 Uncore Clock Multiplier : 16 (Locked) Memory Multiplier : 8 (Locked) QPI Multiplier : 22 (Locked) Very useful info here for beginner to understands config and multiplier (for i3, i5 and i7 ) www.linuxforge.net CPU Vcore : 1.36250v (my VID is 1.232, i think its the highest among i3 :( ) QPIVtt : 1.27v (1.1v stock) vDram : 1.5v (stock) PcH : 1.05 (stock) PLL : 1.8 (stock) Program i use: LinX for stability, 10 pass with 2048 RAM (16331 problem size) Download: www.gigaflopd.com Comments are pleased :) Thx, flo
