Very easy to follow well presented and practical guide. Best of all it worked on my rig.
    Many thanks!

@jmase69 Ah, updated the BIOS to F11, but 1 of the 4 cores always failed after 5 minutes or less of p95 in-place large FFTs, so I bumped the VTT to 1.37, same thing, and I’m afraid to go any higher than that in fear of damaging the chip or motherboard

I raised the CPU voltage to 1.38 and it ran p95 for over 10 minutes until 1 core errored–I raised the CPU voltage again to 1.4 and the computer shut itself off instead of a core erroring–what could be the problem, and it is safe to use 1.41VTT?

@slikdude12592 hey dude, try upping your CPU voltage to something like 1.3825 then try it again. Also, you can put your PCH core to 1.18, that may help improve stability.

In regards to the BIOS, i would update to the current version. You can do this relatively easily using Gigabytes @Bios program in windows :)

Great videos, one question though, I have the same mobo/CPU and I put my voltages the same as yours, prime95 runs small FFTs fine and memtest runs with no errors, however when I do in-place large FFTs for about 10 minutes, 1 of the cores stops with a rounding error, what could the problem be? Also, I’m running the F4 BIOS and I see you’re running the updated F10–could this cause instability?

got my ram running at 1600mhz as well XMP :)

  6. nawaz2kx says:

@jmase69 i’m using push/pull also. my fans are on full rpm as well..

  7. jmase69 says:

@nawaz2kx what fan configuration are you using. I have mine on push pull… a fan at the back sucking air into the case, and then a fan on the otherside of the h50 radiator pulling the air through.

  8. nawaz2kx says:

@jmase69 you managed to overclock it more than 4ghz? also my temps with the h50 on load have reached 95 degrees :s

  9. jmase69 says:

    @nawaz2kx no probs dude :)

  10. nawaz2kx says:

hey i managed to get it to 4ghz stable :D thanks to you mate, owe you big time

  11. nawaz2kx says:

i have a 750 and a p55-ud5 motherboard and i cant even get it to 3.2ghz :( really need help

  12. jmase69 says:

@joachim2464 yeh its a BIOS bug, real cpu temp is about 35c as you can see in the next video.

    cheers

  13. joachim2464 says:

cpu temp 80 c. Isnt that a bit high?
