nice rig, is that case build by you or just buy from somewhere
is the xtreme rev 2 good enough for 4 ghz?
what ram do you use?
@KakimotoRift Core i5 doesn’t have HT
What programs where you useing?
@R08M mine’s too but it is a i7 860 from 2.8 to 3.4
is it normal that not all fans starts before it posts, becouse i got that mobo and only 2 of my case fans, and gfx/cpu/psu fans starts, and and just a little before the MSI Bios splash screen comes, then the other fans starts is that normal?
You don’t need that much CPU voltage to hit 4.0GHz with HT Off.
ive got mine oc to 3.2 ghz from 2.6 running intel i5 procesor gigabyte p55m-ud2 mb and aero cool DCC–C900 and when im on 3.2ghz it runs round 80degrees celcius on 100% load i didnt think this was safe so i put it back to 3.0
@tt2ent weird mine goes to 3.4 with the gd65?
@SimsAustria Arctic-Cooling Freezer Xtreme Rev.2
Arctic-Cooling Freezer Xtreme Rev.2
i have the same processor and mobo, had all the same settings in the video and my comp didnt boot up.
Which CPU Cooler do you have?
@spongeprince123 um dude 70-80 is fine just dont get any higher than that and also get a better heat sink it will take off 10-15C off.
@spongeprince123
Your cpu temperature shouldn’t really go over the (maximum of) 72 degrees.
When you have a Scythe mugen or some other good cpu coolers your CPU won’t get very warm so you can overclock it further;)
Hope that helps
@spongeprince123 Not worth going over 3.8.
please help, overclocked mine to 3.8ghz with basic cooling fan and cooler master case, temp idle at 50-60 and when put to stress with games such as.. say crysis warhead it goes up around 70, is this safe? shuld i continue? gpu temp was around 60, 45 at idle
he means when you hit the OC button its 3.2GHz.
You just hit the OC Genie button and it overclocks a i5 750 to 3.2.
I have the GD85 board
3.4ghz is the recommended clock speed after overclocking by Tom’s Hardware.
i dont know how to o/c
mine was 3.2ghz stock
@MrPcmaker it 2.6 stock.
well intel core i5 is what 3.2ghz stock i am a novice a o/c so i don’t o/c i tried i o/c 3% i went from 3.2.0ghz to 3.2.8 ghz just by 1 more multiplier why do you overclock it runs fast like i run crysis maxed out no lag at all
