Yes. I see people running 4.2 steady on air. To much for me to feel comfortable though and I run the i7 860 with 8gb DDR3 1600ram. Im at about 3.8 everyday use. Had 2 BSOD’s in 6 months at that freq.

How should I make my RAM settings if I got G.Skill Eco Series 1600 MHz (7-8-7-24) at only 1,35 v?

    I’ve got the P7P55D-E PRO and i5 750.

  5. bowarrful says:

should i get this board or the p7p55d-e pro board? i heard that board has a buzzing noise issue and thinking of going with this mobo instead.

  6. woollerland says:

why didnt you bump the ratio to 21?, its more stable at odd multipliers suposley, i got mine to 4 Ghz in 5 minutes but with 1.275 Voltage, a lot less heat produced and is perfectly stable with prime 95

  21. Bulletproof470 says:

@beltatex if u want the i7 with about 3 GHz u can pay about 700-800€!^^

  22. ferozmovie says:

Hrm. I have the same motherboard, I was wondering how I could do a bios overclock. Nothing that my cooler can’t handle, probably up to 3-3.5 GHz from 2.8. I’m idling at 30C. Problem is, in the bios, I don’t see any place where I can manually enter core clock and multiplier? (I’m a total noob at this.) I used to have an older processor, and it was as simple as those two settings, but there is now something called QPi? My main point being that for me, all of those settings are greyed out. Help?

  23. RubenDandrea87 says:

i got a p7h57d v evo and i5 750 with mushkin cl 7 2x2gb 1600 mhz, can somone help me to put it to real ram speed instead of that 1333 default one?

  24. MakubexGB says:

@beltatex In games HT doesn’t make a difference, at least for now. It does make a difference in stuff like video encoding and benchmarks.

  25. beltatex says:

@MakubexGB dude, what difference did it make, switching from i5 750 to i7 860?
I’m not talking about mhz overclock issue. did it make a noticable improvement on application loading times, faster games?
