    either way, nice oc man.

    @VerticalNoodles I own a 2600k and maximus extreme 4 motherboard can’t go wrong. Got stable 5.2 Ghz OC.

    @Asiats1 Impossible.

  4. alonsoeldemx says:

    @wwyk1993 yeah they are you could always built one your self with a nice Phantom case for less than 1k.

    Looking to go 2600k and Asus p8p67 pro from Q9550 and Gigabyte p35ds3L …

    Should see some good gains

  7. seacuracao says:

    why no triple channel?

  8. GamingPrower says:

    @Asiats1 Alienware isn’t being paid for grunt work, they are paid for the brand name. Go for a reliable brand name that doesn’t rip you off if you want a pre-build, you won’t be disappointed.

    i want to pick motherboard for i5. but i rly dont know wich one.
    I though about MSI P67A-GD65, ASUS P8P67. something that will take i5 2500k to the limits.

    @transferserversplz Thats my point exactly.

    Your responses are really helpful, and in my opinion just ignore asiats1. It’s true, alienware gives you basically crap motherboards, then boasts about the rest of its specs…

  13. rottengeorge says:

    Only dual channel DDR3?N Not triple channel?

  14. MrAMColes says:

    @Asiats1 Because that is a example on a different scale, and also, I have always fancied building a caterham kit car. In fact I’m pretty sure i will some day.

  15. FsimulatorX says:

    Will it be okay to over clock it to 4.0 or 4.3 24/7?

  16. ycchne says:

    @MrAMColes Thank you

  17. ISUBANY11 says:

    @MrAMColes Ok. Thank you for the reply!

  18. MrAMColes says:

    @Asiats1 Don’t come flashing that your a doctor, it doesn’t matter how rich your are, if you buy a alienware computer you are a moron. I refuse to believe that you can’t spare a few hours to put together a system.

  19. MrAMColes says:

    @touahmed It will work. Not sure why on earth your paying 200 for windows 7?

  20. MrAMColes says:

    @ISUBANY11 You should be able too, just run prime95 and watch the temps, if they get to high, go back down.

  21. MrAMColes says:

    @ycchne I wouldent go above 1.4 for a 24/7 overclock. Just try going up by a tiny amount and try to post. Get it stable at 4.5 and then try and drop the volts a little bit. There is no golden rule with overclocking, depends on your chip.
