dude…with the setups people have, they should be getting better scores then they do. i have a Q6600 OC @ 3.2 and two GTX 460 Super OC version (i raised the clocks it came with also) with 8 gigs of Corsair xms ddr 3. my vantage score is in the high 25 thousands.

I like it. I love my $700 custom with a pentium Dual core (upgrading to C2Q soon) overclocked from 2.7ghz to 3.51ghz and it has 8gb of ddr3 ram, a 750gb hard drive, and a usb 3 motherboard. I have an EVGA video card with 1.5gb of DDR2-VRAM and a new power supply all in an NZXT M59 case. what do you think for a beginner?
Have you tried running your ram @ 1T timings? I have this processor @ 4Ghz 200×20 with Crucial Ballistix Tracers DDR3-1600 running @ DDR3-1600 speed and a Gigabyte p55a-ud6 mobo running. I got a 50270 CPU score on default performance 3D Mark Vantage settings. My EVGA GTX 260 only got 11393 but it’s all good, I can play anything on high settings now =)

@keiki646 I know what it is.. lol.. Since vantage is Physx Ready. Im guessing it used the GPU for the last CPU test
@Ace33blue PhysX is what Nvidia cards have that ATI doesn’t have and to enable the PhsyX in Games like water details, ground or trash particles in the game. with out it those effects would not be seen in games.
@keiki646 So thats out of the point. Anyways im guessing Physx is running to offload the CPU proccessing to my GPU.. Just guessing. id run it again but im not paying 10$ for it.

@keiki646 It was for a Mac pro Xeon 5520.. Reasons its called server memory because it is ECC memory.. ECC= error correcting code

@keiki646 I like lower CAS latency.. thats why its at 1230. besides Its server memory and it For lga 1366 i7s and not actually made for 1156 cpus.
@Ace33blue Well you similar you say? The ram is 1230MHz ( Mine Ram is 2000MHz) But why do you have the memory freq at 1230MHz??? I think you should look into 1600MHz or greater. system will perform much better
@keiki646 I have similiar specs.. i5 750 at 4.1ghz 4gb ram 1230mhz Oced Gtx 470.. ga-p55m-ud4. 500gb WD 5000aaks and 160gb intel g2 ssd
@Ace33blue what CPU are you using right now? and if you are using the i7 then maybe that is why you have such a good score but then again let see and tell me what you have in your tower.
Also.. Can you you run just stock settings for vantage ? Its P score.. I got 18k something and 62xxx something for the CPU.. How the hell did i get 62 thousand for cpu? lol

@keiki646 Ok. Did you have vDroop enabled? What were the voltage settings for PCH and QPI/VTT
