Who said you can’t overclock your CPU while greenie? If you think you can’t, “response” is another way.

You will have heard that you need to disable the cool and quiet (AMD) when overclocking stability. UDABC4YQNPWH those who overclock made so as to improve the productivity of system power consumption. But I’m going to show you how to save energy even while overclocking.

Before you continue, you must give credit to this poster from whom I’ve taken the idea to use Phenommsrtweaker for the implementation of the Processor in different P-States.

What is necessary for this:

1. you must have a AMD Phenom Black Edition processor.

2. and AMD/ATI 790GX/FX or 785GX card.

3. Phenommsrtweaker.

You may know, CPU Black Edition AMD has its CPU multiplier unlocked, so that simply you can increase to overclock the processor, but in doing so, you must disable C and Q for stability.

There is a slick utility with which you can easily overclock the processor, called Phenommsrtweaker. It not only your OC to Phenom, but also set up custom P-States. If you know how to use this, you can specify Cpu, power saving mode when not used much and ° C it (for Max, Processor allows course) automatically, where she must work hard.

To automatically overclock the CPU only when needed, do the following:

I am not showing here how to find the Max CPU OC (Update: refer to know how to overclock your Phenom CPU). Since now I know my CPU run stable at 3.6 GHz with 1.376v, you can use this. You can find max ° C, enables your COMPUTER’S CPU.

Necessary tools

Steps:

1. Keep all of the stock in the BIOS, including the CPU clock and voltage.

2. create opportunity in a cool and quiet in the BIOS (has already been selected by default).

3. Select the “Balanced” in the “power options”. (Under Windows)

4. Open the CPU-z and see if it runs Processor 800 MHZ. note down the main voltage.

5. to restart the system and disabling cool and quiet in the BIOS.

6. under Windows, set “high performance” in the “power options”.

7. Phenommsrtweaker open. Under P-State 1 set of 4.0 in all four or three or two fields (depending on the Cpu, if X 4 X 3 and X 2 respectively) “Basic multis” and voltage found in step 4. You may have to use MY “CPU” or “NB MY” depending on your whiteboard (I had to adjust NB SIDE to increase the voltage of the CPU). Click Activate and apply.

Board: maintain CPU-z while this procedure so that you can see, if you noted, the voltage shall be reflected in CPU-z.

4 * 200 = 800. Now your processor runs at 800 MHz. fire-up Prime95, select the first option (small FFT) and run it for 20 minutes. If you did everything correctly, you may not see the BSOD.

8. in Phenommsrtweaker under P-State 0, set your CPU milti and voltage (you may need to use “MY” for reasons explained in step 8) in which the CPU OC is stable. Click Activate and apply.

9. Now click on the “services” in Phenommsrtweaker.

10. Select the check box next to “Select custom P-state settings permanent” and “allow user” cool and quiet “.

11. does not change anything in the fields for the last 4, and then click apply.

To see if the changes take effect, restart the system, open the CPU-z and check the speed of the processor. It must be 800 MHz when doing normal tasks such as browsing and use of MS Word, etc. When you convert video, audio, play games or an intensive nothing competition for Processor it will automatically overclock to what you specify (in my case is 3.6 GHz).

The above image shows the Cpu running at 800 MHz with reduced vcore when you perform usual tasks.

The image below shows the Processor is overclocked, automatically when necessary.

Warning:

Overclocking is not for everyone. If you do not know how to overclock, do not try. Chances damaging hardware when overclocking is essential and I will not be liable if you FRY your hardware.
