Looking to upgrade your computer performance of cheap? Overclocking your components is a free, easy and safe–if you do this right.

You want the best performance possible from your computer, but you can not afford any hardware upgrades. No problem-we’ll show you how to safely overclock CPU, GPU and RAM the existing desktop of the computer and give it a further shot in the arm.

Safety first! Modify components of these may void your warranty (although some parts of the PC are sold specifically for use by overclockers and their assurances tend to be more restrictive). Overclocking your CPU

It is much easier (and safer) to buy more memory than what you have to overclock. But if you’re this far, “easy” and “safe” probably does not mean for you.

The first opening of CPU-Z and flip to the “SPD” (serial process of detection) to see the specifications of your computer’s memory. Restart the computer in the menu of the BIOS and click Run menu probably labeled “performance” or “configuration”, depending on the manufacturer of your motherboard.

Enter the configuration of the memory (it is labeled “Memory overrides” on our test bench) and the prohibition of the memory profile by default.
