@tidus2zzge I called my local computer repair place and they said he could buy one for me and install it. I couldn’t find any online. Not even newegg.
@xTRICKYxx hmmm. where/how do you get the 480m, its pretty hard to find mobile gpu for sale? would company like sager sell just the card.?
@tidus2zzge No problem. I am glad to help out someone with the same computer. I have already researched this and yes the y550P is able to upgrade to the 480M. It isn’t cheap. $400!
But the 240m is able to overclock much higher than other GPU’s so I recommend waiting until the next line of mobile GPU’s. The 480m may be the most powerful but that isn’t saying much for a mobile gpu.
@tidus2zzge No the 820 was the only option as well as the 500gb hdd so idk haha. I have the 240m as well and it’s a great gpu.
lol. That’s cool. Did u swap the CPU? I don’t recall it having options for cpu upgrade. Btw did ur system ever freeze unexpectedly? Mine did several times when I first got it but not anymore…weird
