@VirtueCustoms all I want to do is try running my memory at its intended 1600MHz. What is the best way to go about doing that. I am using G Skill 4GB DDR3 Dual Channel kit and I am not using the GTI model of the flaming blade.

@Rocism01 yes, your cpu is downclocking when its not needed. I dont know why you would want to turn this off, it helps save your cpu and helps save energy. You can turn it off in the BIOS.

    I have a question…

    I have a i7 920 D0 steeping myself… I have a 4.2 Overclock when at Full Load under Prime 95 or Everest CPU stress test…

BUT… when i turn off prime 95 and the Everest Stress test the CPU than goes back down to 2.4 ghz… it’s like the cpu only overclocks itself when the speed is needed…

but i was wondering if i can get my cpu to run at 4.2…24/7 without the speed going down when i am not using a Full Load…???

i hope that you understand what i’m trying to say.?

  24. VirtueCustoms says:

@addoumma also step your voltages down in the lowest increment you can go, whatever that happens to be for your motherboard.

  25. VirtueCustoms says:

@addoumma 190 x 21 = 3.990 ghz. What ram do you have nd what is it beaing run at. Your voltage shouyld be around 1.25ish, but may need to be higher. it will depend on your specific ram cpu motherboard configuration. I would try to keep it under 1.4, never go above 1.5. Blue screening isnt bad, but being unstable is not good for it. Make sure you run prime95 or linx for 6-8 hours to be sure it is stable.
