hey I got I 7 920 and I overclocked(its my first overclock) it to 3.2 and its hitting about 70c on full load, I imagine I could push it a little harder but Ive read you don’t really want to get over 70c if you want your system to last more than a couple years. And I need mine too. I got a water cooled system, which is alienware and not the best. Is their anything else I can put in my system to lower my temps?
Ok so we all know the standard frequency for the i7 920 is about 2.67 ghz – what I wanna know is can u OC it to a safe 3ghz or 3.20ghz with all the stock coolers in the pc. When I mean stock I mean the basic fans from the CPU cooler etc?
