    @jlebesis 1366 is the first-generation socket for the i processors.

  2. ibrahimovic339 says:

    @thefsxflyer Thank you for the answer. :)

  3. thefsxflyer says:

    @ibrahimovic339 It will install and run but not likely that you will be able to run at ultra high. You might be able to run at high with default but with addons it may run a little lower

  4. ibrahimovic339 says:

    @ibrahimovic339 And its 64 bits.

    @luger74 Yeah thats what I heard too! Cant wait to get one, but waiting for the 2600k i7 to be availabl ein the 1366 socket :) Is the 5ghz thing 24/7 overclock? thanks! :)

  7. Saekerhett says:

    @Horia747
    Not true, 24 fps is considered as being the minimum fps for a ‘fluent video’, but that doesn’t mean you can’t tell the difference between 24 fps and 60 fps. If you can’t, something is wrong with your eyes or brain and you should see a physician ASAP.

  8. eclipse245 says:

    @luger74 doesn’t matter….the current you’re putting through that will kill it within the next year or two.

  9. luger74 says:

    @eclipse245 With dual asetek liquid cooling 510nm push pull fans, some heat creme, my CPU never falls over 75′C and is clocking in at 4.98ghz.

  10. eclipse245 says:

    @luger74 well beyond 5.0 eh? Good luck keeping that for more than a year.

  11. mopo150 says:

    @thefsxflyer meh

  12. thefsxflyer says:

    @mopo150 Not always true. 30 is the average but depends on the motion. What the eye can see is depending on what the scene is. 30 to 60 is a safe fps for smooth gameplay

  13. mopo150 says:

    60 fps it the most the eye can see, but having more not only allows room for multitasking, but also to increase your simulator experience :)

  14. G4mingDelux3 says:

    KLAX! :)

  15. Er1kson1 says:

    @planelander i7 2600K ?

  16. Horia747 says:

    @thefsxflyer i know they dont see frames but its the equivalent.

  17. thefsxflyer says:

    @Horia747 Well most people struggle to even get that much in fsx. By the way 24fps is false. It depends on scene. Our eyes don’t see frames

  18. Horia747 says:

    Why do people try to get really high FPS when the human eye only sees around 24FPS. Theres no point when we cant even see it!

  19. CaptainKorhonen says:

    @thefsxflyer If you’re willing to try, toms hardware has a nice guide to overclocking the 2500k and the 2600k – All the steps are explained very well :) You can find it by doing a google search for "i7 2500k overclocking guide" and taking the first link. (Its mostly about the 2600K, but since 2500K is the same cpu but without hyperthreading, it will work for it too)

  20. luger74 says:

    @thefsxflyer head over to the techpowerup forums, just make an account, you wont regret it. They will guide you through everything etc.

  21. thefsxflyer says:

    @luger74 Yep, got it a 4.3 now. I don’t know how to overclock

  22. luger74 says:

    Lmao 3.9ghz….you can take them well beyond 5.0ghz

  23. mishakiler says:

    747 sound not the md 11

  24. thefsxflyer says:

    @planelander Useless to upgrade for me as the only difference is hyperthreading which fsx doesn’t use. Also 170fps is actually useless because the average monitor refreshes at 60hz ie. 60fps

  25. planelander says:

    get i7- i was getting like 170 FPS in air and 80 in GRND i have 6gb of ram and the new Nvidea
