At my request, the Board of Directors has granted me a medical absence so I can focus on my health. I will continue as CEO and participate in major strategic decisions for the company.

I asked Tim Cook is responsible for all operations on the day of the Apple. I have great confidence that Tim and the rest of the management team will do a great job implementing exciting plans, we have space for 2011.

I love Apple so much and hope to return as soon as I can. In the meantime, I and my family deeply appreciate our personal data.
