developers in the world have submitted more than 61,000 games made in game Maker site yoyo games of 2007. The speed at which they are presented is that when I started to write and research section of this article is closer to 60,900. A new game, is presented every 20 minutes.

As you can guess, probably on the basis of the extent of opinions, many of these games are more works by stable, complete editions. There are no real control of the quality and contents of the range of the likes of Crimelife 2 to the Dodger.

There are many Indie developers, who use game Maker as a way for the production of very high quality titles, but what can I find more interesting is the number of what I will describe as a “hobby Developer” there are there.

From hobby developer, I mean someone who is in the same boat as me: they love games, they like the idea of making games, they have ideas for games, but the ability of their programming is eliminating at best.

Hobby developers today have a variety of available choices. There are software, rapid prototyping as game maker or RPG Maker. There are platforms such as unity and Flash, which have a wide range of uses, or there are languages or suites for design, responsible for the creation of games. Gone are the days of having to learn OpenGL Apis and repair in the missing links between learning C++ in 21 days “and” Use C++ “to make something that looks like a game.

There has been much talk lately about the rise of Indie Studio. If nothing else the mind blowing the success of the Minecraft is pricked a few ears for that sector and even for the first time since the days of the Sinclair ZX Spectrum, we begin to see teams of one or two people produce the ground breaking successful games. What there is less talk about is how many people make games for a reason, the fun of it.
