The Ultimate CPU Overclocking Guide!
MBP 2011 i7 sandy bridge quad core 2.3Ghz AMD 6750 overclocked 800 core 900 memory 8GB DDR3 Ram Windows 7 64-bit 1280×720 HDTV I go to stock clocks at 11:35 currently only supports 16:9 resolutions, anything else will have black bars. HOW TO OVERCLOCK: forums.guru3d.com MSI afterburner, recommended clocks 750900 and then 800900 corememory OC with ATI tray tools, also overclock via MSI afterburner. 800 core 900 memory Notes: Uber sampling on ultra settings kills FPS. Also SSAO eats up FPS. @1680×1050 on medium gets about 25- 34FPS.

@seanmitchell88 to be honest, no it will not. not very well in the least.
will this work on my geforce 8600 gt video card???? its only got 256 mb of vram
@Gufeee sounds normal
Thanks man I founded it. You are the best!
@Russian7002 yeah just on the launcher, under the play game, the 2nd option is video and something settings. Click that one, it’s the second one down on the launcher. If you don’t see that for some reason, under your install folder, The Witcher > bin folder > configurator is there also.
Hey man, nice video,.But how did you get to this witcher 2 configuration tool? Is it ingame or i have to download it online? Every time i open witcher 2 there is just a launcher shows up. I really want to open this tool but I do not know how.
Thanks
@Emarosa87 it may be your specs b/c this is immensly GPU intensive BUT I’ve heard of driver issues. Remove nvidia 3d drivers or something and install the 270.xx beta drivers and try that! report back and let me know. You may google the problem as plenty of ppl have mentioned installing the new beta drivers from nvidia. good luck!
I genuinely cannot get this game to play on my bootcamped MBP
i7 2.8ghz
8gb ram
win 7 32bit
geforce GT 330M
It just epicly stutters on any setting am i missing a specific driver or setting?
@aznguyen316
It’s a good thing I saw your video, I thought I had a bug on the "Woe to the Vanquished" quest ’cause I wasn’t able to save those 2 guys inside the house even after replying "get out or die" at 2:01 of the game. So I went back and did the quest again and everything went smooth (helper of the oppressed).
I use my sign/s (left hand) to stun opponents while fighting. I actually enjoy playing in my laptop it’s so mobile unlike a desktop.
I’m playing The Witcher 2 on my ASUS G73SW-XT1 (17.3" screen) on my native resolution of 1920×1080 on medium setting with few adjustments, and it’s smooth with good graphic detail. I’m still with driver 270 (whql) on my 1.5 Gb. GTX 460M.
I was already able to open that gate for King Foltes (tough fights).. Great game. …poor king Fol… I like how the story is flowing..
@aznguyen316 With my monitor 1366×768 I’m bottlenecked by the cpu. The GPU utilization is stuck at 65%. I’ll play on the desktop or waiting for a patch enchanging the performance with dual core.
@eladrin1979 I am using the latest beta driver 275 on nvidia.com
Out of curiousity- What drivers are you using? The stock Bootcamp drivers or the catalyst 11.5?
@BenihimeUrahara SSAO is one of the show stoppers for this game, and many other games. It won’t become unplayable, but I don’t notice ENOUGH visual benefit to have it on rather than turning something else up or just to have a minimum smooth FPS. The 5650M I think will struggle a little, hopefully you can OC it some. Are you on the Envy14 or what? This game is loving to eat GPU’s up.
I will suggest you to balance the shadow quality, if you can.
Imho you’re loosing too much image quality with SSAO disableo. So you should use shadow on medium and SSAO enabled, I think…or is not playable anymore?
I’m very interested since I’m going to play with an 5650M.
What release of Catalyst are you using? Thanks!
@apav93 I can’t do 1440×900 on my laptop it’s either 1680×1050 something weird lower (which I tested on medium) and it’s around 30-34FPS at native resolution and medium default with vsync off. So I guess go from there.. medium high at 1440×900 I would expect probably 25-35FPS to be honest depending on what you turn on/off and if you overclock.
Eh, I think I’ll be getting a new macbook soon anyway. I’ll just sell my old one and split the differences.
Could you answer my other questions please? What would the fps be at med-high at native non hd res on your computer(1440×900)? I would be getting the 2011 macbook just without the HD screen, but I see you aren’t playing in native resolution on it.
@apav93 to be honest I read it runs terribly even on low settings on the 330m dual core i7… you may be out of luck.
How would this run on the 2010 MBP with the Nvidia 330m card at 1440×900? Also what would the fps be at med-high at native non hd res on your computer(1440×900)?
@aznguyen316 i tried it on every possible thing it still doesnt work
any other ideas?
@aznguyen316 there any ways i can do that for free off the internet and then play witcher 2?
