the 5730 is able to overclock much further from what i’ve read, because voltages are set at 1.1v. I’ve seen up to 830/1100. 5650 is still better value

(default) core: 450mhz, mem: 800mhz, 27,6fps @ ~62°C
(tweak’d) core: 650mhz, mem: 850mhz, 35.4fps @ ~70°C
almost 30 percent of performenceincrease!

Yes, L650-11F, 0.9500v. What’s your voltage, and can you change it? some laptop’s have 1.0000v.

My 5650 is set on 675/1000, perfectly stable, no artifacts, temp hits 60-75 maximum!
ati 5650 me too have this and i put it 700/1000
@ralpyka the cooling system isn’t the problem with this laptop at most when stress testing the most i get is 72 c which is way lower than the 5650 is capable of handeling
makes me wonder if you can volt mod

BEWARE!!!!
this laptops gpu is an UNDERVOLTED and UNDERCLOCKED version of the 5650 meaning it can not achieve the performance of some other 5650′s which have been overclocked
the laptops gpu is volted at 0.95v as opposed to the normal 1.0v for this card
meaning it cannot overclock as well as other 5650 meaning it does not perform as well even when overclocked
are there toshibas notebooks good ? do they break fast or have some high temperature issues ? thanx
AMD told me that the 5650m can actually hit 650/1000 just fine. Just keep the laptop elevated to allow good airflow and you shouldn’t have any heating issues.
I’m now getting up to 15 fps increases in games like Metro 2033.
