@Thermalrightonutube you do good vids budd easy to follow
how come your unable to firmly mount the heatsink ? it looks a bit dodgy could you add a extra washer somewhere just think it would get much better cooling if it was a snug fit but hey i build old cars not pc`s
lol the end when it still moved
@Thermalrightonutube
it’s ok now, im just being paranoid about it
thanks anyways
@ashrocks87 some fans are not suitable with our clips due to the non reference design of their mounting, but there is always a way with Striptie
@alikhavoc unfortunately no, they may look the same but the claws aren’t the same size, fan holder does not have anti-Vibration, but it does not make noise at all
will the "Ultra120 Series Fan holder" fit the venomous x? it states its for Ultra120A / Ultra120 eXtreme / TRUE Black / TRUE Copper… and does the fan holder have anti vibration? thanks.
@Thermalrightonutube
what im saying is, the tip of the clips doesnt go the whole way inside holes of the fan.. is that ok?
did you apply the anti-vibration strips?
if not then that might be the reason
@Bobbyv621 thank you for your support!
i used a CM fan and the metal clips didnt fit snugly, will it be fine?
chynaman
listen good job on the step by step instruction very well done.
Bobbyv621.
@tallb Dear Tallb , Any fan would be fine, but of course our fan is the best to suit Venomous X , not just it’s the right CFM but with the right noise level,
, note: Venomous Rt version will not include mounting clips, as it has fan holder already
if you don’t mind the noise you may use High Rpm fans such as Delta,
it will perform slightly better when using 2 fan, and strips and mounting metal "thingies" are included with the cooler
we would recommend the pressure half in
@tallb First wipe off wit clean cloth or tissue, then use a new cloth or tissue and wipe off with alcohol
@KingOfMadCows Venomous X Fan holder will be black in retail,
only when it comes with package is White,
@clausbohm Thank you for the comment and support!
@Artigans Thank you ! we will !
@tallb can be very harmful if you apply 2 much presure.
also, what is the best way i can remove the thermal compound from the last fan i installed?
thank you very much.
heyi also have the p7p55d motherboard, with an i7 860 cpu, and i really want to use Venomous Xm but i have a few questions.
first, do you recommand a certain fan or will any 12 cm will do? and dont recommand yours just cause its yours lol
also, will it be better to install 2 fans one each side? is it possible? and if so, how can i get the stripes and the mounting metal thingies.
last question, how will i know how much presure to apply , cause it is directly pressing on the CPU, and that
I got the Venomous X RT and it’s great. I overclocked my i7 920 to 3.6 ghz and it idles at around 36° most of the time and it has never gone above 65° at 100% load. I live in LA and even during last week’s heatwave, temperatures only went up about 5°.
I want to add another fan and what I’d like to know is where I can get a fan clip or another fan cover. I went to the thermalright website and I couldn’t find it.
Thank you very much! Though i also hope you will do video for other cpu cooler installations like prolimatech megashadow, as your video is very clear.
Thanks again
Good job on the video except for…..
1. Too much paste ( pea ( 2 core) or line method (quad core) better)
2. Only one fan ( 2 in a push and pull is better)
3. Fan flow is pointing the other way from back exhaust fan (Label on fan always shows output side)
@Artigans you just need a evenly spread on the CPU , but not too thick though, just make sure the surface is covered, if you put too thick then it will flow out
,
better blowing into the heatsink and towards the system fan on the I/O ports,
so the hot air would be sucked out towards the back of your computer
Hi!, thank you very much for this video!
two question though, first, i see that you’ve put quite a lot of thermal paste, with the heatsink so big, how you know the thermal paste wont flow out?
second, the fan, 120mm right, should be blowing into the heatsink or away?
sorry for the noob questions, and thanks
